I always did wonder there the rock to mud spell came from.

I can see how it could work. The trick will be not getting trapped in the mud too.

I've always wondered if you got to choose the consistency of the mud. Really soupy mud seems like it'd be the best choice for most applications of the spell (collapsing caves for instance) but if you needed to build some houses and only had this handy for whatever reason really solid, goopy mud to make bricks out of would be a better choice.

I would think there's some sort of relationship between the rock and the mud it gets turned into. Like Limestone would turn into loose wet mud and granite would turn into a thick clay-like mud.

I don't know if you have some way to track the number of people reading this but this whole series needs far more attention that it probably gets. Especially for us old school gamers this is good stuff.

I get about 20 visitors a day. And someone seems to read through the whole thing about once a day.

I mentioned it on The Piazza Mystara board. People seemed to like it there. And I've mentioned it on a few Keep on the Borderlands blogs I've run across. Where else should I mention it?

I will tell ya what, I will make it my personal mission to drop hits about this page on every old school site that I go to. KOTB is such an iconic adventure that I doubt there is one single old school player who did not play it and remember it fondly or at least remember it. Your storyline and art has improved greatly from page one and as I have said before I really enjoyed watching you change the artistic styles you used as you improved and experimented. It did not detract from the story, if anything it made it more interesting watching you try different things.

That's part of the point of this comic. I intend to create a lot of volume to improve my ability. I'll keep experimenting with styles too. I just wish I had more time to draw it. I have this comic written and half way pencil sketched (I think you have seen maybe a fourth or fifth of the story so far), I have the next adventure written, And I am writing the third and I know what adventures the next two are going to be.

It's easier to write them, because I do that while driving to work or whenever I have a spare minute to roll out the fights. It's the scanning and finishing to post where it takes a long time.

I don't know if I played it, our GM tended to mix different modules together. ...Hey WarriorNeedsFood, did you run KOTB for us?

Never did. We ran Lost City and few other Basic adventures when we were hanging out with the other Rich. But the 6 year campaign was Advanced D&D modules culminating in the Bloodstone Pass adventures. I'm still using those characters, just in this new story.

You played a mage in that Basic adventure and I took the variation of magic missile you played in that game and turned it into Trenton's Magic Missile spell. Just a little insider bit of info there.

Not a good idea, for the simple reason that nothing ever stays buried. There's always some sturdy cursed artifact that can stay buried for millennia until it is dug up by someone trying to build a subdivision.
